Event:

A Day of Fun, Friendship, and Awareness

On November 17th, 2024, I had the privilege of attending the 2nd Annual Autism Awareness Family Picnic, hosted by Kgomotso Moalusi of the Active Autism and Neuro-diversity Allyship Foundation. The event was a vibrant celebration of diversity, brimming with joy, laughter, and a strong sense of community.

A Commitment to Inclusion

I am grateful to Kgomotso for inviting me to this wonderful event. It was a truly inspiring day, and I am proud to stand as an ally for autism. By embracing our differences and fostering inclusivity, we can create a more compassionate and accepting world for everyone.

The day was filled with exciting activities for children of all ages. Bouncy castles provided endless entertainment, while delicious food stalls catered to every taste. A captivating magic show mesmerised the young audience, leaving them spellbound. Beyond the festivities, the picnic was a powerful platform to raise awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It was heartwarming to witness the support and understanding extended to individuals with autism and their families.
